Recess Reset Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 23, 2026

Recess Reset, LLC (“Recess Reset,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit RecessReset.com (the “Site”), create or use a Recess Reset account, access Recess Reset content, use any Recess Reset mobile application, if available, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the “Services”).

Recess Reset provides classroom-ready content and resources intended to be accessed and led by adults, including teachers, school staff, administrators, parents, and caregivers. Users must register for an account to access Recess Reset content.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

Who May Register

Recess Reset accounts are intended only for adults, including:

  • Teachers and other educators

  • School and district staff

  • School and district administrators

  • Parents, guardians, and caregivers

  • Other authorized adult users

Students do not create Recess Reset accounts and are not authorized to register for or independently access an account.

Students may participate in Recess Reset activities when content is displayed, facilitated, or otherwise provided by an authorized adult—for example, a teacher using Recess Reset in a classroom or a parent or caregiver using Recess Reset at home.

Student Privacy

Recess Reset is designed to support children without requiring student accounts or collecting student personal information.

We do not knowingly collect, request, store, or require personal information directly from students in order for them to participate in Recess Reset activities. Recess Reset does not create individual student accounts or student profiles.

In particular, Recess Reset does not collect or require:

  • Student names

  • Student email addresses

  • Student usernames or passwords

  • Student identification numbers

  • Student rosters

  • Student grades or assessment records

  • Student work or written responses

  • Student disciplinary or behavioral records

  • IEPs, 504 plans, health records, or other education records

  • Student photographs, videos, or voice recordings

  • Biometric information

  • Precise location information

  • Individual student usage or engagement records

Because Recess Reset does not collect personal information directly from children or create student accounts, students do not need to provide personal information to participate in Recess Reset activities.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information directly from a child, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information as soon as practical. If you believe that a child may have provided personal information to Recess Reset, please contact us at peter@recessreset.com.

  • Password or account-authentication information

We may also collect information that an adult user voluntarily provides when communicating with us, such as information included in a support request, contact form, feedback form, survey response, demo request, purchasing inquiry, or email.

  • Dates, times, and duration of visits or sessions

  • General interaction and clickstream information

  • Cookie identifiers and similar technologies

This information helps us operate, secure, troubleshoot, understand, and improve the Services. It is not used to identify or profile students because Recess Reset does not collect student accounts or student personal information.

We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify an individual. We may use such information for research, analytics, product development, business planning, and to understand overall use of Recess Reset.

  • Sell student personal information

Recess Reset does not sell adult users’ personal information.

Recess Reset does not use adult account information for targeted advertising or behavioral advertising. Delete or revise this sentence if you use advertising pixels, retargeting, or ad-platform audience tools.

We may share personal information in the following limited circumstances:

We do not provide schools or districts with student personal information because Recess Reset does not collect student personal information.

Wix Hosting and Security

Recess Reset uses Wix to host our website and provide related website and account functionality. Wix may process certain personal information and technical information in order to host, operate, secure, and support the Services.

Wix states that it uses HTTPS and TLS encryption for data in transit and encryption for data at rest within its platform environment. Recess Reset relies on Wix’s managed hosting environment as part of our technical safeguards.

For more information about Wix’s privacy and security practices, please review Wix’s applicable privacy and security documentation.

Recess Reset and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Site, maintain user sessions, remember user settings, understand website performance, and improve the Services.

A cookie is a small data file stored on your browser or device. Some cookies are necessary for the Site and Services to function properly.

Other cookies may support analytics, preferences, or other non-essential features.

Where required or appropriate, we provide a cookie notice or consent mechanism that allows visitors to manage non-essential cookie preferences. You may also control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable certain cookies, some portions of the Services may not function properly.

Communications

We may send adult users communications about their accounts, subscriptions, purchases, security, technical matters, policy changes, and other service-related information. You may not be able to opt out of essential service-related communications while maintaining an active account.

We may also send marketing or promotional communications to adult users who have opted in to receive them or where otherwise permitted by law. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in the email or by contacting us at peter@recessreset.com.

If you encounter difficulty using the Site or Services, please contact us at peter@recessreset.com and include the webpage, feature, or content with which you experienced difficulty. We will make reasonable efforts to address your request.

Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or destruction.

These measures may include managed hosting through Wix, encrypted connections, access controls, password-protected accounts, and limitations on access to information by authorized personnel who need it to operate, administer, support, or secure the Services.

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Although we take reasonable measures to protect personal information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for notifying us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or another security incident.

To report a security concern, contact peter@recessreset.com.

Data Retention and Privacy Requests

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an active account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain security, and support legitimate business operations.

We may delete or de-identify inactive accounts and associated personal information after twenty-four (24) months of inactivity, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law, necessary to maintain an active school or district subscription, required for legitimate accounting or security purposes, or otherwise described in an applicable agreement.

You may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information associated with your account by contacting us at peter@recessreset.com.

We will review and respond to verifiable privacy requests in accordance with applicable law. Subject to applicable legal and operational exceptions, we will honor valid deletion requests within thirty (30) days. Deleting an account may permanently remove access to Recess Reset content and associated account information.

We may retain aggregated or de-identified information after an account is deleted because that information does not reasonably identify an individual.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain processing activities where applicable.

To submit a privacy request, email peter@recessreset.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request.

Recess Reset does not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms may be defined under applicable state privacy laws. Confirm this is accurate before publishing, particularly if you use advertising pixels or retargeting tools.

If you access the Services from outside the United States, please understand that your personal information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States and in other countries where Recess Reset or its service providers operate.

Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws of your country of residence. Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate steps to protect personal information transferred internationally.
